통일사상의 가정주의에 관한 연구
이 글에서는 유교에 기반 한 한국의 가족주의의 의미와 현실적 전개, 이에 대한 비판을 자세히 논의하고 이를 토대로 통일사상의 가정주의(家庭主義)를 체계화하는 데 요구되는 학문적 과제에 대해 전망하고자 한다. 통일사상은 하나님의 창조목적이 부모, 부부, 형제자매, 자녀로 구성된 이상적인 가정의 4대 사랑을 통해 구현된다고 이해하고 있다. 또한 가정윤리를 공동체 윤리의 근간으로 삼으며 가족적 사랑의 규 범을 사회의 영역으로 확장할 때 이상적인 정치 공동체가 실현될 수 있다고 본다. 이렇듯 통일사상은 가정의 가치를 강조하고, 가족 내에서의 윤리를 사회, 국가적 차 원으로 확대하고자 한다는 점에서 유교의 가족주의와 유사한 측면을 지닌다. 따라서 유교에 기반 한 한국의 가족주의에 대해 자세히 고찰하는 작업은 통일사상의 가정 주의를 정립해 나가는데 있어서 요구되는 현실적 과제들을 진단하고 성찰해 볼 수 있다는 점에서 가치가 있다고 판단된다.
A Study of Familialism in Unification Thought
This paper examines the meaning of Confucian-based familialism in Korea, how it has been practiced, and the criticism it has received. Using this analysis, the paper seeks to outline the academic tasks necessary to systematize Unification Thought's familialism. In Unification Thought, God's purpose for creation is realized through the four great loves of an ideal family which includes parents, couples, siblings, and children. Furthermore, Unification Thought considers that family ethics serve as the foundation for community ethics and sees an ideal political community can be formed when the norms of family love are extended to society. In this regard, Unification Thought shares aspects with Confucian familialism in its emphasis on family values and view of extended familialism. It will therefore be relevant to examine Confucian-based familialism in Korea in depth, as it will enable us to consider the practical tasks required to establish Unification Thought's familialism.
