Some amount of social conflicts can become a driving force behind the development of a society; however, serious social conflicts will cause a repetition of division and disputes, threatening even the existence of that society. Then how can we resolve and manage the diverse social conflicts happening within our society today? This paper seeks to find an alternative for integration by viewing social conflicts from the perspective of the Principle of Mutual Righteousness in Unification Thought. The Principle of Mutual Righteousness in Unification Thought is the thought of shared ethics for the maintenance of an ideal society, and therefore forms the basis for a familial community of true love. This paper comes to the conclusion that the principle of mutual Righteousness, as righteousness centered on God, is the ethics by which all members can co-exist within a family-based community, and one that aims for one big family under God. The paper verifies that this can become values by which a society can base itself on. Furthermore, if nongovernmental organizations are formed with the purpose of social integration based on the principle of mutual righteousness and a new system and culture that can conciliate and resolve social conflicts are attempted at, then the ideal of a peaceful society can be attained.
