Recently, many companies have shown unprecedented interest in ESG. The ESG craze towards a good economy is undoubtedly a positive phenomenon from the perspective of Interdependence towards a good economy. This paper is an exploratory study on how to reinterpret the desire of businessmen to be recognized as a good company by society through ESG from the perspective of Interdependence, and how to develop this desire in a better direction. The meaning of ESG from the perspective of Interdependence is first, as a supranational common indicator of a company's public responsibility of all things and human beings. Secondly, it is a public-trusted system that can be recognized by members of society for its altruistic actions for the public interest. Third, it has a positive meaning in that it induces good competition among companies to become a good company. The direction of ESG practice from the perspective of Interdependence is to link ESG with the common welfare project for humanity proposed by True Parents. Since the common welfare project for humanity is already closely connected with the UN SDGs as well as the environmental, social, and governance factors emphasized by ESG, it is judged that there is no difficulty in linking it with ESG. In addition, if the close collaboration among global companies, academia, and NGOs that pursues ‘Interdependence ideology’, if the company establishes a system that continuously nurtures interdependent entrepreneurs, and if the good governance structure of the non-profit foundation is effectively utilized, the common human welfare project for humanity is expected to progress more rapidly through corporate ESG.
